Brand label and sales are going well.
I had many fewer braids this year than last year, and sales are going well. I’m humbled and delighted by the response to the blog posts, sharing blogs on FaceBook and responses to FB marketplace offerings. I’ve mailed three braids that fared very well in transit—arrived in excellent condition. Postage is so expensive that it rivals the cost of the braids.
The two 4 bulb Thai Fire ($20 each) at the top are available.
Jen Grove of Lettersong in Louisville, KY, a calligrapher and artist, designed our label, drew it and facilitated the print job with Kinkos and Fed Ex. I am grateful and delighted with the label’s hand-crafted nature that fits perfectly with our craft of braiding garlic by hand — there is no other way to braid.
I’m delighted to have braided the last of the Louisville harvest this week. The two braiding workshops were such fun! And yielded beautiful, earthy braids.

These three 4 bulb Thai Fire (Lou) $20 are also Available. Don’t they show off our new Label nicely?
The new label allows me to circle the garlic type and add the braid number. I also really like the flourishes included in her design that bring to mind capital L and C = Lynn Carnefix.
If you would like the workshop braiding guide and the closeups Nico Phillips snapped during the workshop to illustrate each step, let me know.
